Without a doubt, Neoregelias are my favorite genera in the bromeliad family. Endless hybrids and fantastic colors makes these the favorites of collectors...
This video is about my favorite subject... the Neoregelias and Aechmeas. These two genus, along with the Tillandsias, are perfect for Florida's climate.
A short video of some of the countries and regions where these amazing plants grow in their natural environment. The second part is other tropical plants.
The first half of this video, shot in 2006, is of my two favorite places to visit in Florida. The Corkscrew Swamp, and the Big Cypress Swamp on Florida's Southwest Coast.
This video is about the lesser known or even rarely seen species of bromeliads. The first half covers the Guzmanias, Vrieseas, Orthopytums and a few others. These plants require a bit more attention to detail to achieve the desired results... like fertilizers and good quality water. Light requirements vary from very deep shade to almost the brightests levels of the Neoregelias and Aechmeas. The last half of this video is parts of my Orchid collection... Enjoy
After rebuilding from the the 04 and 05 hurricane seasons, I managed to finally get things back in order. At least my bromeliads and orchids were able to take care of themselves.
