An extremely colorful plant at anthesis, with a red blush to the leaf out to the tips, and cup color of yellow that extends out several inches. Unlike most other Guzmania species, it does not produce a spike, but blooms in the cup, much like a Neoregelia, with large yellow flowers. Easy to grow and bloom.
