Flower stalk on very large, healthy-looking brom. Flowers never open (3 years) and are covered with sticky gooey substance.. Any help?

Typed a long message but it was lost. First try.
Found your page interesting as I also grew up on Gulf Coast (Tampa). I am Master Gardener (MG) specializing in propagation, especially Bulbs (Rainlilies), Orchids & Bromeliads. VP of our Orchid Soc. A group of MG's recently attended the Spring Selby and Garden Club home tour. Great fun! We plan to attend next year (2016). Do you ever give tours of your collection? Would also reciprocate, if you are ever over this way.

awesome bromeliads, beauty of nature. Do you send bromeliads to Puerto Rico. Thank you.

I am really enjoying your website. I'm just beginning to study these wonderful plants after growing orchids for many years. Most orchids look rather unattractive when not in bloom but the broms are almost always beautiful. Thanks for all your effort.

Aloha Jack,

I am staying in Santibel for a week and would love to see some exotic Tillandsia--possibly take them back to Hawaii. Please call me at 808-497-0487 or email me.
